This project is inspired by Abbeyfield’s ongoing ‘Breath of Fresh Air’ campaign and where better to be inspired by nature and the beautiful outdoors than The Alnwick Garden? Therefore, if you belong to a local craft group and would like to be involved in making a ‘P op up Garden’, why not come and join us at our Wednesday morning monthly craft sessions? A ‘Breath of Fresh Air’ pop up garden celebrates all the benefits that simply going outdoors and taking a breath of fresh air brings, encouraging older people to spend more time outside. Sessions are held the first Wednesday of each month from 10am – 1pm in the Stuart Halbert Elderberries Room. You do not have to have any craft making experiences and beginners are welcome. Craft gardens created from the project will be part of a ‘Breath of Fresh Air’ Exhibition in the Pavilion Room from 7th – 11th May 2018.
