Questions The Alnwicvk Garden To FatherChristmas Words: Emily Davison aged 5, Young Reporter young roving reporter, Emily, had an O ur opportunity to quiz Father Christmas whilst he took a well-earned holiday before preparing for Christmas, here is what they had to say: anything with dancing and singing and so does Mrs Claus and the Elves. Sometimes the Elves try the dance moves and end up on the ceiling lights, silly Elves! What is your favorite food? I like all food especially Brussel sprouts, of course I love my mince pies and a big dinner (I think most people call it a Christmas dinner but I just call it dinner). What do you like to wear? There is very deep snow at the North Pole so I do need to wear my big hat, warm boots and my big coat. But when I am on holiday in the sun I wear my ‘Santa Shorts’ and plenty of sun cream. What time do you go to bed? I go to bed when I am sleepy. But if I am having an early morning wake-up from the Reindeer (they wake up at 5am and they shout until they are fed) then I go to bed at 9pm. Why do you say ho, ho, ho? That is my laugh, have you noticed that different people laugh in different ways? I always give a very big belly laugh HO, HO, HO. What do the reindeer like to eat? The Reindeer eat absolutely anything (they once ate a whole wardrobe of elf shoes) but they do love Reindeer food and moss the most. How old are you? I am 257 years young. What is your favorite TV show? I do like X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing. I love Are you always happy? All of the time. Happiness is a gift from all the boys and girls which makes me smile all year round. Where do you go on holiday? Mrs Claus and I like to go somewhere sunny and bright. We don’t go by sleigh when we are on holiday, (we like to give the reindeer a nice rest), instead we fly by airplane or helicopter. Page19
