FEST SERIES Andreu: The other cool thing about Fest is, it’s not just about the line where we shoot the event. We go to a place, see what’s there and what the locals ride and shred the whole area while we’re there. Near Aggy’s there’s a secret spot on a farm with a big crazy line that we sessioned. The guy who lives there is the sickest dude who builds huge stuff. You’d hit a berm and go through a forest section with Christmas lights in the trees, then there’d be this big 60ft gap. It was insane. Oh is that the big line you guys filmed in the train that finishes with the huge jump over the trees? Andreu: Yeah dude! That’s the one. It was a gnarly spot for sure. So what’s the schedule for the rest of the year? Nick: Right now we’re at Royal Hills, which is a new stop that Nico has built, but after this all the events will be the same as last year. “T he guys who ride the FMB… talk sh*t a little bit. It’s kinda in a fun joking way, but you can tell what they’re really thinking.” – Kyle Jameson £ The fact the FEST Series is 100% rider run, means that each and every course in the series has been built with heaps of knowledge and bucket loads of passion. Andreu: At the end of July we go to Norway for Huckfest, then right after that is Loose Fest, which is the biggest one of the year. It’s the scary one that kinda defines what Fest is all about. The jumps are huge and perfectly built, there’s metal bands playing, a crowd, dirt bikes, it’s just a sick vibe. I can’t wait to see what gets thrown down there this year. Well, thanks so much for your time fellas. It’s been awesome chatting. Nick: Thanks so much for this, man. It’s awesome. Kyle: Good talking to you, bud. Hopefully we’ll see you at a Fest stop one day. Keen to make that happen! Cheers lads. T
