ow did you get into
snowboarding?
I got into snowboarding through
skating, since I already did that
from the age of three. When I saw
that you can do something similar
on snow, it was only natural I was
going to go and shred.
What was it like doing it in
Slovenia? Is there much of a
scene?
It was very hard at the beginning
because not many people were into
snowboarding. But with time we got
to be quite a cool crew that would
travel around Europe and shred.
But it was always definitely hard
to be out of Slovenia because we
never had a lot of parks and there’s
basically not much going on there,
industry-wise.
How did you get from it being
your passion to having the
chance to go pro? When did you
know you really wanted to do it
for a living?
I got on Burton 20 years ago and
I guess that was the moment -
when I figured out that I can just
snowboard all year long - it was
like a dream come true. It’s crazy
that Burton has had my back for all
these years - giving me the chance
to shred. u
