Following the first qualifying runs,
another side competition was
held for riders who are new to
the FMX scene. As one of Eigo’s
original goals for creating the GO
BIG series was to introduce FMX
to more riders and to motivate
them to excel in the sport, a
special round at GO BIG is held
to help find new talent across
Japan. Simply called “FIND”,
this round has riders of all ages
jump from 15 metres and be
judged on their best trick out of
three. A variety of tricks could
be seen during this year’s FIND,
but it was Motoki Kato’s clean
Superman that gave him the win
and qualified him to enter the next
round of GO BIG. One surprise
of the FIND round was tenyear-old Ryusei Suzuki and his
huge Heel Clicker. Although the
youngest and smallest
in the event, he

he couldn’t enjoy

D
uring the semi-final
round, Daice, Kota,
and Bupper joined
the other riders and
battled it out for the
four places set for the
finals. Wind had once
again become a factor,
but all the riders were
able to throw down
an amazing array of
tricks. By far the trick
of the round was
Daice’s 360, but Kota Kugimura
also had great extension on all
his tricks, such as his No Hand
Back Flip, and a massive Cliff
Hanger. One surprise was to
see Bupper throwing down new
Back Flip combos such as a One
Hand Back Flip Nac Nac with
crazy extension over the regular
jump. At thirty-five, Bupper is the
oldest rider in the competition so
it’s great to see him still pushing
himself and going big! Biting at
the heels of last year’s top three
