The coffee houses offered a flash back to the imperial grandiose of the city’s past. Although not all the names mentioned exactly had a positive impact on the human race, it was still interesting to learn about Vienna’s history. And eat of course eat some amazing cakes. I can personally vouch for Sachertorte if anyone needs recommendations. Post-show it was interview time, and far from my nervous beginnings back with Rob, everything went smoothly, including long chats with Colton Saterfield and Alastair Sayer. Both had a lot to say and it was pretty eye-opening to get their side of a show I thought I was completely familiar with. More from those in future issues. To cap off an unconventional few days, as I sat down for the flight back to the UK, I ended up next to a friend I hadn’t seen for over three years! What were the odds of that? It was a surreal end to an amazing time in Vienna. Masters of Dirt has really become a juggernaut in Austria. We saw people queuing up to get MoD logos tattooed pre-show and fighting over merch.
