© courtesy of adidas guys so it was pretty mellow . It was fun to work with them . They were really cool about giving us pretty much free range to do whatever we wanted there . Set up whatever we wanted . It turned out really cool . I ’ m excited about that project .
How do you find shooting edits versus competitions or free riding ? What ’ s your favourite style ?
I definitely like just riding with your friends , no cameras or anything . That ’ s probably my favourite . I feel like you have the most fun , you ’ re not really thinking too hard . You normally end up doing the coolest stuff when you ’ re just hanging with your friends . No pressure or anything .
Filming is really cool too because you get a little more drive to do something . It ’ s easy , filming with all these guys , the whole adidas squad . They ’ re all my friends . We knew each other before this , so it ’ s cool . It ’ s pretty easy .
Where ’ s your favourite place to board , and why ?
I would have to say Hyland Hills in Minneapolis , Minnesota . I grew up riding there since I was a kid . No place like home , really . All my friends , and it ’ s just a fun scene . Fast laps . It ’ s always a good time .
Any favourites outside the US ?
Yeah . Last year I got to go to Stubai in Austria . That was amazing . I ’ d never been to the Alps and whatnot . This past Winter we got to go to Laax as well . Both those places are just mind blowing to me , coming from Minnesota where it ’ s all small hills and no mountains or anything . Then going to the Swiss Alps is really mind blowing to me . It was awesome .
Austria ’ s sick , man .
Yeah , for sure . That too , just the whole town , a lot of history . Go boarding , the off-hill activities are really fun after boarding . Everyone ’ s having a good time at the bar . Just really fun . Good energy , for sure .
Nice , man . So what have you got planned for the rest of this season ?
I actually am not exactly sure yet . I mean it normally plays itself out pretty nice , but probably film with all these guys still . Work on another project . I think we ’ re kind of in the works of making , coming up with some plan ! t
