Now plying his trade in the Global RallyCross we caught up with Brian for a chat about how he’s found the swap from two wheels to four. .......................................................................................................... We caught up with Travis recently, I used to love the rivalry between you and him back in the day. Was that real and is that still ongoing? I would say back in the day Pastrana and I had a battle going in freestyle. He was the man. He was really good at freestyle motocross. I think our battle helped build the sport. He was the good guy, we were the bad guys. Since then we’ve raced rally together. We race cars a lot. He was beating me back in the day in freestyle most of the time, now I beat him most of the time in cars. It’s all good. Looking back at your FMX career, the first Mulisha Twist (360) is the stand out achievement for me. What did it feel like when you put down the first 360? I’d say I’d always wanted to be known for one big trick. There’s certain guys who had their moves. The double back flip was Pastrana. Metzger did the back-to-back flip. I wanted to land that one move and that night in the Colosseum in LA when I did the first 360 - landed on dirt - I felt like it was my move. I came up with that whole thing. I basically feel like when people think of the 360 they think of me. Is that your favourite X Games memory? I would say landing that first 360 was
