£ The Maggiora track is well known
for its stunning scenery and steep
hills. What began as a very muddy
surface on Saturday morning turned
into a perfect riding surface as it
dried out – but it didn’t stay that
way for long. Through the first few
motos the course rutted heavily
and, as stones began to rise to the
surface, became more and more
inconsistent. Although that may
have made the track a little less
inviting for riders, it certainly made
for some exciting racing.
