MONSTER ENERGY CUP BLUE REED? Chad Reed was there, back on the bike brand that made him famous in America. Admittedly, he wasn’t 100% ready for this race and it showed. After one too many crashes and somehow being the only rider in history to get a bad start on a factory YZ450F, Reed ended up tenth. For many fans, Yamaha and Reed go together like peas and carrots, but this race wasn’t the best indicator of his true (blue) power. © MONSTER ENERGY “My race pace was there but my starts were atrocious. I fought from keeping my tongue out of my spokes,” Reed said afterwards. WHO MISSED THE JOKER LANE? © CUDBY.S If the riders have proven anything to us over the years, it’s that one extra thing to remember at the MEC can be one thing too many. We’ve seen a few riders, notably Ryan Dungey and Ryan Villopoto, completely miss the Joker Lane during one of the main events in the past. This year’s “Huh, You Missed It?” award goes to Rockstar Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson, who won the first main event of the night and then realized that he hadn’t taken the Joker Lane. Whoops! Back to sixth he goes. £ Jason Anderson impressed a lot of people in Vegas © CUDBY.S It’s not all bad for Anderson though as he collected all three holeshots and won himself a Toyota truck for his efforts. Also, he was fast all night and ended up third overall. Sleeper pick for 2016 450SX title right here folks!
