© SUZUKI-RACING DID STEW WIN? £ Sadly the MEC comeback did not go to plan for James Stewart © SUZUKI-RACING © SUZUKI-RACING With apologies to the Red Bull Straight Rhythm race the week before the MEC, Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart was back at his first real race since last summer, as his FIM mandated suspension ended. Stewart qualified sixth, got a bad start in the first main event and then hit the deck with Trey Canard after that. An 18th wasn’t good, but hurting his wrist and sitting out the next two mains was even worse. JS7 is fully focused on getting into shape after a long time off, and we still have every confidence he’ll come out swinging at Anaheim, but we haven’t felt this let down by a return since Mark Barnett in 1989 with TUF Racing. 70 | FreestyleXtreme.com
