Starring the likes of Ken Roczen, Billy Laninovich, Tom Parsons, Kris Foster, Ronnie Renner, Blake Baggett, Colton Haaker, Anthony Rodriguez, Justin Barcia and more, Moto 7 certainly has an impressive mix of the world’s top riders from a wide range of dirt-bike backgrounds. We were particularly stoked on Billy Laninovich, Tom Parsons and Kris Foster’s sections at the start. Kris Foster’s natural-terrain flips and the huge drops that him and Parsons hit in Caineville were some of the sickest shots we’ve seen in a while. Justin Barcia’s section was awesome, and we could watch Bam Bam throwing big, dirty Whips all over his breathtaking MX compound all day long. Ronnie Renner’s section was inspiring as always and with what looked like a bunch of extra footage from his goldmedal-winning X Games Real Moto What: Hitting the Apex Who: Mark Neale Format: DVD, Bluray & Streaming Availability: Out Now The latest documentary film from the world of MotoGP, ‘Hitting the Apex’, takes an in-depth look at the highoctane and high-risk ride that is Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Narrated by Hollywood A-lister and self-confessed MotoGP-head Brad Pitt, the film focuses on the careers of six of the world’s fastest MotoGP riders of all time: Marco Simoncelli, Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez, Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo. As ‘Hitting the Apex’ unfolds, we see the top riders come and go from the MotoGP spotlight. There is a moving section showing the period surrounding the tragic crash of Marco Simoncelli, and a genuinely heartfelt tribute is paid to the racing legend. With insightful thoughts from the riders themselves, we see and hear first-hand 24 | FreestyleXtreme.com filming sessions, Renner’s part had some seriously big hits in it. Moto 7 definitely follows the same pattern as Moto 6, though possibly with a bit more of a documentary feel creeping in at times. As always Moto has ticked all the righ t boxes and definitely got us excited to go ride!
