NIGHT OF THE JUMPS
Teammate Kevin Ferrari rode his first Night of the
Jumps at the following round in Graz, and also
finished in 9th after qualifying. Ferrari put in a solid,
consistent and confident ride, with some superstylish tricks and a lot of heart. The young Italian
stomped all his Backflips over the big gaps which
he had only learned to dirt a few weeks before the
contest. He also took 2nd in the Maxxis Highest Air
(his first ever Step-Up contest).
“This experience was very important for me. Riding
with the best riders in the world made me realize how
hard you have to train for this! It was very motivating
to be in that arena in Graz for the European FMX
Championship and I gave it everything I had! My
hope is one day I’ll be able to ride the full series and
work my way to the top” explained Ferrari.
Kevin then went on to say “The guys behind this
series are all really nice and great to work with which
makes a big difference. The level of riding at Night of
the Jumps is really high and it’s hard for us rookies
to get noticed among all these super strong riders,
but with a lot of training and a passion for this sport
you can do it! Thanks go out to our wonderful family
Daboot FMX - together our level is increasing all the
time.”
With a heap of natural talent, determination and the
backing of Alvaro’s new ‘Ride to Party (RTP) Agency’
(based at the Daboot Superpark in Northern Italy) you
can expect to see a lot more from these two dudes
and the rest of the RTP Agency / Daboot crew in the
very near future.
The Night of the Jumps crew are always on the
lookout for new talented FMX riders to compete
in the European FMX Championships. An open
qualifier is held at the first round of the season in
Linz, Austria, and this is often a great indicator of
who is ready to take their riding to the next level
and compete in the rest of the series. Host countries
often have the opportunity to use a wild card spot to
get new riders to represent their nation - often with
surprisingly good results. Night of the Jumps reach
out to their huge network of friends and contacts,
as well as searching the internet for the latest rider
photos and videos in the constant hunt for new FMX
rookies, undiscovered talent and riders that deserve
a chance to showcase what they can do. Who knows
what new hungry riders we will see coming through
the rookie ranks in the future!
