You would never have guessed it was his first ride at Night of the Jumps. Kevin Ferrari with a big Double Seat Grab I caught up with Leonardo to hear his thoughts on the European Championships and his debut ride in Austria: “I think the fact that the European Championship offers up-and-coming riders the chance to experience riding in these types of contests is awesome. It can really act as a springboard to a career. I loved riding in Linz because when I first started doing FMX I dreamt of going to contests like Night of the Jumps” said the young Italian. “ when I first started I dreamt of going to contests like Night of the Jumps” rookie Leonardo Fini “Riding alongside the top guys made me feel a little uncomfortable at first, but it’s just so hard to prepare for that. I had never done a contest in my life. I always rode motocross for fun with my friends, and then my first ever contest was Night of the Jumps. My training leading up to the event was limited due to an injury which didn’t help either.” When asked about what he took from the contest, Leo replied “I learned a lot by seeing what the other riders go through as they prepare themselves to go out and put down these unbelievable runs as best they possibly can.
