FreestyleXtreme Magazine Issue 1 | Page 10

Welcome... I F YOU’RE READING THIS I am dead – dead excited that the first ever issue of the world’s latest Freestyle Motocross & Moto publication, The FreestyleXtreme Magazine, has been published! This magazine is the product of visions and dreams. Visions to create the world’s best FMX & Moto magazine. Dreams of being able to produce a publication that could support the world of freestyle motocross, the related sports and the lifestyle that FreestyleXtreme represents. Two years ago I started Loko FMX Magazine, an independent freestyle motocross magazine, from my flat in London. I worked every evening after work with a budget of whatever I didn’t spend on beer or new parts for my CR250. The crew at FreestyleXtreme read issue #1 of the mag on the day it came out and were stoked that someone else was trying to accomplish what they had been wanting to do for the last few years. After the guys approached me and we got talking, a realisation set in: I was going to struggle to get Loko mag to where I wanted it to be on my own, and they need someone with experience of producing an FMX magazine. The result was the magazine you are reading right now. After speaking to pro riders, fans, event organisers, brand owners, our customers and dirty ass dirt bikers like ourselves, we realised that our dream was not just alive in our minds, but that it was a real, tangible demand in desperate need of becoming a reality. The goal was to provide unseen, interesting, helpful, insightful and all out rad articles, stories, photos, trustworthy product info, interviews and video edits from around the globe. We have reached out to the best writers, photographers, video makers and contributors in the industry to bring you the best FMX content on the planet. We have OG riders like Doug Parsons, bringing you stories direct from the hills of SoCal, as well as hugely respected photographers such as Ricky Monti, Jason Halayko, Simon Makker & Garth Milan to name a few, bringing you the most breathtaking shots imaginable. The date this magazine has been published is not a random date we determined by throwing a dart at a calendar, but the 10 year anniversary of the birth of FreestyleXtreme.com. What better way to say a huge thank you to FreestyleXtreme’s loyal customers and followers than giving you a free 100+ page magazine every two months! You can expect to see a fresh digital issue of this mag dropping on a bi-monthly basis from now on, accompanied by hard copies which will go in orders placed on FreestyleXtreme.com. We sincerely hope you dig this mag and enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Ride on Adam Simpson Editor
