When it comes to the rising world of fitness on social media,
everything and everyone you see starts to blur together.
However, one of these online personalities shines so bright that
she is hard to miss. Abi Roman is a bodybuilding champion
and Instagram star unlike anyone else.
Certain individuals stand out
from the crowd and Abi does
exactly that. With her vibrant
personality, extraordinary talent
and positive outlook on life, Abi
Roman exhibits exactly what it
means to strive for and reach
your ultimate potential.
Abi’s countless fans and follow-
ers know her as a beautiful and
inspirational bodybuilder who
posts workout tips and motiva-
tion on her popular Instagram
page. But there’s more to Abi
than meets the eye. As someone
who follows her today, it’s
almost impossible to imagine
her as anything but a fitness
superstar – yet, this isn’t where
Abi’s story began. It was her
journey through life that led
her to ultimately discover
her passion.
It all started in Markham, On-
tario where Abi spent her years
growing up on a farm with a
loving and supportive family.
Born to an Italian mother and
Slovak father, Abi’s family raised
her on European values and
culture. Her grandfather raised
cattle and her grandmother
grew food in their garden,
allowing Abi to grow well-
accustomed to country life
from a young age. She was a
self-proclaimed outdoor junkie
and was raised on homemade
food, so her health-conscious
values were instilled in her
from very early on.

The Abi we all know and love
today originally started on
a much different path. Her
first passion was for a sport,
but not the sport we currently
know her for. Her love was for
horse-riding, something she
originally did for leisure while
visiting a family friend’s farm.
Every summer, Abi would take
riding lessons and she rapidly
fell in love. Her parents bought
her a horse in order to take her
dream to the next level, but
eventually Abi’s upper level
horse became injured and a
future in horse-riding started
to seem unattainable.
Abi’s spirits remained high
regardless of this disappoint-
ing turn of events. She con-
tinued to pursue horse-riding
as a pleasurable pastime but
started to look elsewhere to
discover her next steps. As
Abi likes to say, “everything
happens for a reason” and
this change in direction was
just a small delay on her
lifelong journey.
Abi went on to complete an
Honours Bachelor of Arts in art
history and political science at
the University of Toronto. She
also completed a post-graduate
certificate at Seneca College in
event and sports marketing in
hopes of utilizing her bubbly
and social personality within her
career. Instead, Abi came across
