SLUG SLUG Arylessence Celebrates R&D Facility Grand Opening The company accelerates growth with new state-of-the-art fragrance research and development center Arylessence, Inc., celebrated the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony of its new state-of-the-art fragrance research and development center on Thursday, September, 20, 2018. Arylessence welcomed industry friends, family, and an esteemed guest list of Federal and State representatives, including U.S. Congresswoman Karen Handel and U.S. Congressman Barry Loudermilk, as well as Georgia State Senator Dr. Kay Kirkpatrick and several Cobb County officials, and the leadership of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. “Arylessence employees are the heartbeat of our company, and we believe this facility represents the fruits of collaborative teamwork and commitment from some of the most creative and dedicated individuals in our industry,” said President and CEO, Steve Tanner. “We 30 | FRAGRANCENOTES.ORG | Issue 3, 2018 represent the All-American success story. A company built on dedication, commitment, integrity, service, quality, innovation, and creativity.” The center designed by CDH Partners and built under construction management by Brasfield & Gorrie, includes custom office spaces, themed conference rooms, GC/ analytical lab, a technology and innovation lab, applications labs, fragrance R&D lab, sensory evaluation booths, laundry fabric care test center, and an evaluation consumer/ professional panel center. “With our dynamic growth, we needed to enhance our facilities and expand our capacity,” said Executive Vice President Cynthia Reichard. “We wanted our new facilities to meet the growing priorities of the work we perform for our clients and to reflect our commitment to excellence, creativity, and innovation. Our team worked collaboratively to envision a cutting-edge facility designed to provide Arylessence clients above and beyond service in winning fragrance development.” In his prepared remarks, Representative Loudermilk, who serves as the Founding Chair of the first-ever Congressional Fragrance Caucus launched by Fragrance Creators Association earlier this year, told guests he was proud to be a part of the Caucus. The Fragrance Caucus was created to aid and elevate the fragrance industry, which continues to face increasing regulatory burdens, he said. “The Fragrance Caucus [give us the opportunity] to explain the fragrance industry and how large and growing it is.
