GLYCO BEARINGS ARE JUST RIGHT
A certain level of softness is important to help a
bearing bed-in during an engine’s running-in phase.
Yet, for the rest of the engine’s life the bearing needs
to be hard to remain durable. This has been achieved
by the Glyco-188 bearing material that features a
layered construction of bronze and tin-nickel, which
is applied to a steel spine. Unquestionable quality
The nickel layer between the bronze and tin-nickel
prevents the tin atoms from diffusing into the bronze
layer. Advanced production methods are used to add
an extra layer of tin and copper to achieve a perfect
balance of durability and malleability. Glyco bearings are OE quality, allowing total

which resists very high loads, avoids deformation,
and meets the need for a lead-free solution.
Fusing together
The initial softness enables the bearing to bed-in
successfully and adjust to the surface structure of
the crankshaft. Over time, the nickel layer atoms and
