The merger with Brake Parts Inc . is in line with Remy ’ s efforts to remain ahead of the market in range development and latest technologies . In this year alone , Remy is on track to launch approximately 300 more brake calipers and 300 starters and alternators .
In order to maintain the standards determined by these certifications , Remy has to continually seek new strategies in order to improve their facilities and product quality .
This endeavour has led to a trickle-down effect on Remy ’ s research and development team to identify inherent issues of existing OE components . Through part re-engineering , Remy is able to eliminate the shortcomings of the component .
Furthermore , Remy ’ s commitment to deliver quality remanufactured components allows them to supply a full range of quality parts at a competitive price whilst doing their part in maintaining environmental sustainability . Currently , Remy ’ s competitive range of starters and alternators stands in excess of 5,000 parts , covering light-duty ( including stop-start ), LCV and heavy-duty applications . Remy ’ s brake caliper range ( including EPB calipers ) stands at around 3,300 part numbers .

Remy ' s continual investment in improving processes and remanufacturing plants have resulted in an extension of the warranty period to 3 years for their range of light-duty starters and alternators .
In many instances of warranty claims , Remy has found that the part was not faulty . It is often misdiagnosed because the Remy part showed the effect of the failure rather than the actual cause of it .
OE SPECIFIC
All Remy units are manufactured to OE specifications and are all subjected to an end of line test on a state-of-the-art test rig . Only when the component passes the test and receives a verification label , is it released into the aftermarket . The verification label ensures traceability with a barcode , OE part number , production plant and is linked to the data stored on the test rig .
To avoid unnecessary claims , Remy provides installers with technical bulletins and tips to ensure proper installation . These bulletins can be found on the F : Drive , MAM Autocat and www . partinfo . co . uk .
