A teacher new to the school in 1991 decided to introduce the Future Problem Solving
Program which was relatively new in Australia, having begun in a small way in
Melbourne in 1989. No-one else at her school had heard of the program but she
believed it had the potential to inspire, inform, challenge and excite students,
particularly those who were academically gifted. How might the new teacher, from 1992,
have worked to embed the little known FPS program in the life of the school so that it
