7: Step Three. Here’s the 5.0L H.O. Charge
Cooler package (#4FA218-070L or 078L),
which includes an integrated dual-bypass air/
water charge cooler, heat exchanger, tank,
and pump. With Step Three, you stand to get
345 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. Power comes
from cooling the intake air charge, w hich
allows your engine to make the most of thermal
expansion. The Charge Cooler feature also
reduces chances of detonation and engine
damage.
8: Here’s Vortech’s V-7 race discharge tube
with MaxFlow Mini Race bypass valve. If
you’re going to run greater than 12 pounds of
boost, you may want to run this package.
