WOWING THE CROWDS
Mustangs Plus, known for their restomods,
held their semiannual show October 22, 2011,
drawing a pair of show-stopping Fox Mustangs.
Don and Sue Nunes are original owners of
the black ’91 GT hatchback. With 37,000 miles
on the clock, their Pony has been to the MCA
Nationals in Park City, Utah; Van Nuys,
California; and Bellevue, Washington. The
Gold Awards in the Unrestored Class and a
Platinum Award at Park City make the long
driving trips worth it. The Platinum Award
recognizes unrestored Mustangs conserved to
the highest degree possible.
Mark and Pam Vazquez’s red ’93 Cobra had just
under 12,000 miles and was loaded with options,
including leather seats, sunroof, rear window
defroster, CD player, and power driver’s seat.

NMCA STREET CAR SERIES
Racing is as much a part of the
Mustang heritage as the V-8. For those
with a heavy right foot, here are some
new places to roll. If you live out West,
then NMCA and Flowmaster would like
to invite you to their four new events for
street-legal cars. On the calendar for
2012 are:
Fontana, CA – April 20-22
Bakersfield, CA – June 22-24
Phoenix, AZ – September 28-30
Fontana, CA – October 19-21
These events will be called the NMCA West Street Car Series through at least the 2013 season. Flowmaster is
the title sponsor for what is expected to be a powerful new addition to the company’s motorsports events.
West Coasters have been after the NMCA to add some western events to the schedule. Now they have.
Complete classes and rules will be forthcoming on the website. Competition is expected to be strong, and the
2012 season should be a dandy.
