With day ones competitions over, most of
the riders stuck around and rode the cable
until they couldn’t hold on any longer,
before retreating home to recover for day
two. The morning kicked off with a good
few phone calls asking ‘if the event was
still going ahead’, the reason for this was
the weather conditions which swept in that
night, to keep it short it was raining.... alot!

The weather didn’t stop anything, the
WakeTours VLX was on the water, the tents
went up, the music was cranking and the
riders started to arrive. Due to the pretty
cold, miserable weather we revised the
format so the riders only had to put their
cold wet wetsuit on once! We opted to give
the riders a long set, with more falls to get
things moving. 4 passes, 3 falls - SIMPLE!
