About Niranga
S.S.Niranga is a Senior Tech Lead at Netstarter Pty Ltd,
having over 10+ years of industry experience as a Software
Engineer and a Web Developer. During the period, he
has built many solutions including numerous e-commerce
websites.
Niranga is a certified Magento frontend developer, Microsoft
technical specialist, and a scrum master. Currently, he is
pursu§ing a master’s degree in IT at the Sri Lanka Institute
of Information Technology.
Niranga has done a few Tech Talk sessions covering topics
on web optimization and e-commerce. This is his first

many Drupal/PHP websites through a Mule Enterprise
Service Bus. However, over the last 3 years we have grown
significantly and in addition to the IT development and
support services we also now provide Finance support (AP,
AR, commercial reporting & others), HR (recruitment
support, system admin, leave admin etc.) as well as handle
the back office processes for the global travel operations.
PEAK Colombo (a.k.a Intrepid Colombo) celebrated 3
years of operations in January 2016. PEAK Colombo was
set up back in October 2012 as a fully owned subsidiary of
Intrepid Group of Companies but started operations on the
2nd of January 2013. The Intrepid Group of companies in
headquartered in Australia and is the largest small group
adventure travel provider in the world with globally known
brands such as Intrepid Travel, Peregrine adventures,
Geckos and The Adventure Company under its wing and
with offices in over 30 countries.
PEAK Colombo was set up as the global BPO centre with
the aim of providing IT development and support services
for the group which runs a state of the art proprietary ERP

The travel operations support is quite unique within the
industry where we provide services for most back office
functions such as confirming bookings, communicating to
3rd party suppliers, collecting passenger data and conducting
passenger surveys and reporting as well as many others
making Peak Colombo one of the few companies engaged
in such a broad function base within the domain.
As a result of the rapid expansion over the last 3 years today
our team has grown to over 100 members. The Intrepid
Group has expansion plans for the next few years as we hope
to consolidate more services to our Sri Lankan office which
will make Peak Colombo one of its most critical operations.
Our contribution to the group was recognised at the recently
held global company Awards night, where 2 of our staff were
lucky enough to win awards on the night.
