RC : I have earned many certifications , ribbons , medals and awards . For me the one medal that stands out is my Bronze Star because of the meaning behind it . It has a significance that only we know .

RC : After 12 plus years in the
Army as a medic and patient admin , my experiences range from everything from saving lives to watching life slip away from patients . Every experience , good and not so good , molded me into the soldier / person I am now . Out of the many experiences , one of the most significant is when I was in Iraq . We had incoming wounded , so as I prepared like I had done many times before , I had no idea this would be the day that my views on life would change drastically . It was my 3rd month in the country ( Iraq ) of a 15-month tour and as we are unloading the patients , cutting the clothes soaked in blood and doing what I was tasked to do , hours went by completely focused and staying on the duties at hand . After everything calmed down just enough for a coffee break ,
