LIVING WITH
POST-TRAUMATIC
STRESS DISORDER
Each year, thousands of men and women are diagnosed
with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD. PTSD is a
mental health condition that can develop when a person
experiences a horrifying, shocking and/or terrifying
event. Although those whom suffer from PTSD can
often learn to cope with the deep mental, physical and
emotional scars that they have endured; daily living
can be quite the challenge. To feel “well” takes an
incredible amount of effort, courage and heart; and
the chronic state of stress that one’s body lives in
can be draining and debilitating. The demands
placed on a person’s body, who is living with
PTSD, are astronomical and often overwhelming.
