Congratulations
to the Class of
We are pleased to report the WACE results
achieved by the Guildford Grammar School
students of 2018 and congratulate them on
their fine academic achievements reflected
in these results. We acknowledge the hard
work invested by these students and their
teachers, supported by their families and
friends.
High academic achievement is a feature of
our results, with 25 students (25% of those
sitting four or more ATAR examinations)
achieving an ATAR above 90, ranking their
results in the top 10% nationally. Three of
these students achieved an ATAR of 97.5
or more, placing them in the top 2.5%
Australia-wide. They have the honour
of entering Guildford Grammar School’s
Academic Honour Guild (previously known as
the 400 club).
Our special congratulations go to Jonathan
Choong who achieved an ATAR of 99.6 as
well as to Jack Stewart (98.75) and Simon
McDowall (98.35).
It is very pleasing to note that 60 students
out of 101 (60% of Guildford Grammar
School students who sat four or more
examinations), were placed in the top 20%
of the state using the ATAR as the measure.
11 members of the graduating class achieved
entry to the Senior Academic Honour Society,
which requires the impressive attainment of
a minimum twelve A grades across the first
eighteen months of Years 11 and 12. These
