Stacy Gougoulis ( St 2000-2004 ) has used a creative background with varied and unique experiences to make a name for himself since leaving School , becoming a radio presenter on Triple J , hosting weekend breakfasts .
Stacy was a successful academic student at Guildford Grammar School , being awarded various academic and arts prizes . Early recognition for his academic efforts in school gave Stacy the confidence to pursue the things that he enjoyed doing . After graduating from Guildford Grammar School , Stacy went on to study Journalism and Performance studies at Curtin University where he developed an interest in radio and continued to pursue his interests in theatre and music . Receiving the academic prizes that he did , encouraged him to apply for the John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship when entering university , which he was fortunate enough to receive . This created beneficial opportunities and opened many doors for Stacy as he was able to study the course of his choosing and receive experience in radio , volunteering for RTRFM , which started off his radio career . The scholarship granted Stacy the opportunity to study in the United
States for a semester where he was able to learn from Pulitzer Prize winning journalists , opening up a world of valuable experiences .
By the time he graduated from university , Stacy recognised that he didn ’ t want to become a hard news journalist or a professional actor , so he focused on pursuing things that he enjoyed : playing in bands , performing and touring the State with improvised and stand-up comedy shows
