SENIOR SCHOOL
Raffles Institute Singapore exchange students
The Senior School staff and students
played host to four boys from the Raffles
Institute Singapore, from 13-28 November.
The four boys, Haodong, Gabriel, Stefan
and Weijian stayed with four very generous
families and immersed themselves into the
life of a Guildford Grammar School student.
While in Perth the boys had many
opportunities to experience some of Perth’s
tourist attractions, including lunch at
Whiteman Park & Caversham Wildlife Park,
a day tip to King’s Park and Fremantle and a
trip to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory
to sample the wares and buy some delicious
gifts to take home. On top of this, the boys
enjoyed a wide variety of activities with their
host families.
As part of this annual exchange, four
Guildford Grammar School students will
visit the Raffles Institute for two weeks in
January 2015, where they will be hosted by
the families of the four boys who recently
visited us. Our exchange students for 2015
are Joshua Ding, Ethan Luckie, Matthew
Simmonds and Thomas Stanicich.
Thank you to all of the staff and students
who helped to make this such a memorable
experience for our Singaporean visitors.
