World of Coca-Cola
Georgia Aquarium
The World of Coca-Cola is a museum that showcases
the history of The Coca-Cola Company. One of the
highlights for many visitors is the tasting room,
where you can try Coca-Cola products served around
the world. At the end of your visit, don’t forget to grab
your souvenir glass Coke bottle and purchase some
wonderful goodies. The World of Coca-Cola is located
just outside Centennial Park in Pemberton Place.
The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the
Western Hemisphere, filled with marine and freshwater
animals. It also includes a “touch” zone where you can
pet sharks, stingrays and more. My personal favorite is
the beluga whale tank and the whale shark tank. The
beluga whales love to interact with the audience by
rubbing against the glass, while the
whale shark tank is the largest tank
and has a room with a glass wall
where you can see every spot on
the whale sharks’ backs.
The aquarium is right across from
The World of Coca-Cola in
Pemberton Place.

Centennial Olympic Park is a 21-acre public park
located in downtown Atlanta. Millions of international
and local guests visit the park every year to enjoy
the world’s largest interactive fountain featuring
the Olympic Ring symbol.
The park also is home to the Googie Burger which
celebrates the spirit of Atlanta with an iconic and
beloved food classic — the burger. Whether you want
to have a picnic, throw a football, see the sites or listen
to music, Centennial Park is the place to be. New to the
park is SkyView Atlanta, a huge Ferris wheel that
provides its riders an amazing view of Atlanta.

National Conference
BY KELSEY WOOD NATIONAL CONFERENCE COMMUNICATIONS CO-DIRECTOR
Atlanta is the capital of the South, not just of Georgia. It is also the location for the PRSSA 2015 National Conference,
Nov. 6 –10, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, downtown. Atlanta has served as a focal point for the South since it was established as the end of the Atlantic Railroad line in 1836. Its southern roots grow deep, strong and are full of growth, from the
Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement to the 1996 Olympics. Atlanta is much more than meets the eye, especially when it
comes to attractions that draw people from all over the world.
Atlanta BeltLine
The BeltLine is a former railway corridor around the
core of Atlanta, under development in stages as a
multi-use trail. The Atlanta BeltLine is considered many
things — rails, trails, green space and transit.
You can go on a walk, hike, see art pieces, as well as
ride a bike down many of the trails.
