Fort Myers’ Page Field (general
aviation airport) are designated as
Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs). RSW
is one of the busiest airports in
the United States; it moved more
than 7 million passengers in 2008.
RSW offers state-of-the-art storage
and freight transfer, less conges-
tion, more competitive rates, faster
turnaround, and greater security
than many older ports of entry. Fu-
ture growth has been considered,
as well: RSW has space for two ad-
ditional concourses and the poten-
tial for 65 gates.

• Florida statutes are kind to
business and industry. The state
imposes no personal income
tax, no corporate income tax on
subchapter S-corporations and
limited partnerships, no state-level
property tax, and no inventory
tax, among other incentives.
The Lee County airports’ FTZ
status shelters businesses with
international ties from additional
taxes on goods shipped and
received.
• The climate is perfect and the
amenities are top-notch. Everyone
benefit from southwest Florida’s
sunshine, 50 miles of pristine
beaches, world-class amenities,
and an enviable quality of life all
reasons why Money magazine
named Lee County one of the
nation’s best places to live!
