As part of that effort, future Stevenson plans include the following: • Launching the nation’s first Center for Forensic Excellence to conduct research and training in key areas of forensics • Establishing a research database and holding summit meetings of Maryland justice community leaders under the auspices of the Center for Forensic Excellence • Developing a forensic science residency program where course work will be taught online while hands-on labs and mock trial experiences will take place during a two-week period in May or early June • Offering a forensic science track focusing on toxicology • Expanding cyber forensics offerings to include changes in Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and cyber profiling • Providing continuation of operations backup to various Maryland and federal agencies should the need arise for forensic facilities and personnel • Serving as a resource for those seeking independent and objective forensic expertise For further information about Stevenson’s distinctive forensics master’s degree programs, please visit: stevenson.edu/graduate-professional-studies or contact Thomas D.
