Eradicating Elder Financial Abuse

By the year 2030, it is estimated that seniors over the age of 65
will comprise 72 million people (Reiser & Eisenkraft, 2013, p.1).
When does the aging process begin to affect one’s mental capacity
thus diminishing the ability to make sound financial decisions? As
reported by the Alzheimer’s Association, once an individual attains
the age of 65, diminished capacity may result. By the age of 90, fifty
percent of seniors will experience some form of disability an
