STEVENSON UNIVERSITY
MARIA HOWELL is an attorney and fulltime Assistant Professor of Forensic Studies in
the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Stevenson University. Prior to becoming
a professor, she worked as civil litigator in the
areas of complex breach of contract and patent
cases and in matters involving equal access to
justice for low-income individuals.
KIMBERLY PROCTOR is currently a student
in the graduate program at Stevenson University, where she is pursuing a degree in Forensic
Studies. She completed her undergraduate
studies in 2007 at the University of Maryland University College with a B.S. in Legal
Studies/Criminal Justice. She also completed
her undergraduate studies in 2003 at Prince
George’s Community College with an Associates Degree and Paralegal Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Kimberly
works as a contract paralegal specialist in the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Justice (Federal Bureau of Investigation).
CAROLYN HESS JOHNSON, ESQ. is an
attorney and a full time Associate Professor
of Forensic Studies in the School of Graduate
and Professional Studies at Stevenson University. She has worked in private practice, as a
Senior Assistant State Prosecutor for the State
of Maryland and as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore City, Maryland.
AUBRIE ST.CLAIR was born and raised in
Rockville Maryland. During her high school
years she became very interested in science
and chemistry. Aubrie graduated from Stevenson University with a BS in Chemistry (2009)
and a MS in Forensic Science (2011). Her
ambitions are to become a forensic chemist and
eventually be a director of a forensic laboratory.
SARAH KRANS holds a Bachelor of Arts
in History and Social Science from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and a
graduate certificate in Historic Preservation
from Eastern Michigan University. She is currently studying towards a Master of Science in
Forensic Studies, Criminalistics tract. She will
continue graduate studies at Durham University (UK) in paleopathology with the goal of
working in the forensic archaeology field assisting in the identification
of the remains of service members, war crimes victims, and victims of
human rights violations either in the United States or internationally.
JOHN (JAY) TOBIN, JR., PH.D. is the
Program Coordinator of the Forensic Sciences
program at Stevenson University. He recently
received his Ph.D. in Forensic Toxicology
from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
Prior to coming to Stevenson University, he
worked for the Maryland State Police for 37
years as Chief Chemist, Assistant Director,
and finally Director. He has 43+ years of
experience as a forensic scientist.
JESSICA LYONS, CPA, CFE, is a Supervisor with the Risk Advisory Services team of
McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. Her experience
and specialization includes fraud prevention,
detection and examination in an effort to help
organizations assess their control environments and increase effectiveness, as well as
assist in the determination of damages when
fraud has occurred. Jessica is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Forensic Studies with a concentration on
Accounting at Stevenson University.
STEPHANIE WITT completed her Undergraduate studies in 2008 at the University
of Baltimore, with a B.S. degree in Forensic Science. She continued her studies at
Stevenson University where she received a
Master’s degree in Forensic Science in May
2011. Stephanie currently works at Stevenson
University as the Assistant to the Dean in the
School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
