As a result, organizations are susceptible to inefficient response to a litigation hold or discovery demand in the event of a lawsuit. Thus, organizations should proactively develop and implement a sound document retention policy. More importantly, organizations need to be able to prove to a court that its policy is adequate and complied with by all personnel.
