FOR NURSES BY NURSES DENETRA HAMPTON Editor-In-Chief T he holiday season is here and it is one of my favorite times of the year. First, it is a special time for For Nurses By Nurses, because we get to share some of our favorite things, conversations and experiences that have occurred throughout the year. Nurses are missing in action when it comes to community health and I am excited about our upcoming community projects as we empower new nurses to take their science to the community, lead a career of servitude and take note of how important it is to give back to our communities. As we move into a new year, it’s always a good time to take stock of our lives on all levels. We can always do better and I am constantly evaluating how we can make things better for you as you continue to engage with us througout our growth and digital expansion. As you enjoy your holidays, remember the holidays are for you as well. So, take care of yourself and have a little fun. I hope that you will enjoy this HOLIDAY ISSUE 2016, we are excited about the great content we are able to give you. Stay connected and Happy Holidays! Tis the season to be joyful, make a loud noise and be glad in all of it. Holiday life can be stressful, and overwhelming, be encouraged to find some solace in the fun of gift wrapping, opening gifts, great food and giving to the community. 4| For Nurses By Nurses As nursing continues to transition into a more cultural, collaborative and business- minded care model, it is important to structure ourselves in service. -Denetra
