The WSAC is for individual artists who need adequate work spaces combined with a gallery to display and market their art all in the same setting. The Collective will offer artists a unique chance to have working studios, gallery, and community in one dynamic location, featured in the heart of the downtown Winston-Salem arts and entertainment districts. Since there will be many artists concentrated in one area, the opportunities for learning, working, and growing to expand their talents and feature their products will be limitless. A center for events, classes, workshops, and private instruction will offer teaching with guest professionals and welcome traveling artists. The City of Winston-Salem can only earn the title the “City of the Arts” by promoting local artists by embracing their talents and careers and providing them with appropriate working spaces to create. This in turn assists and enhances of the artists’ careers as well as promotes the entire city. Working artists sell their works, and in turn become contributing members of the community, creating sustainable economic development. The WSAC will build a desirable space for artists promoting cultural and artistic growth through the creation of a versatile, affordable and marketable community center. We will naturally partner with many downtown businesses and business owners to help utilize all efforts in the creation of this dynamic project. My vision is to help redefine a new era of art appreciation, not only in our local community but possibly in the modern art world. A true renaissance and revival of the culture of the arts is happening right now in the hearts and minds of the great artists who live here, and the WSAC will bring a chance for our community to become a part of this new golden age; I am willing and able and excited to help facilitate this process in every way I can. On top of all these exciting events, I am still a working professional artist every day, and am currently taking commissions and requests. My studio is located at 560 Trade Street, and anyone can come and visit me and see my art in person during the WinstonSalem downtown Gallery Hop on the first Friday of every month. It’s a unique and wonderful opportunity to get out and about, stroll this lovely city, and support local artists. Local artists help to sustain our Foothills economy, and strengthen the community as a whole with their eclectic personalities and diverse talents. From now until Christmas, I will be running a Pet Portraits Special, as well as excellent deals on classical portraits, landscapes and hand painted Christmas Cards. If you have ever thought of having an original piece of art to give as a gift to a loved one, then now is the perfect chance! Don’t miss this extremely reasonable special, as it’s only offered for a limited time, and will make excellent gifts. Do you own, or have you ever wanted to own a piece of original art for your home or office? I look forward to seeing you come out to downtown Winston-Salem to support your local artists and the arts based culture of our city. See You There! www.cherylannsviews.blogspot.com 336.692.3581 [email protected] 29
