Sales Coordinator / Special Pages David K. Eriksen Publisher Jaclynn G. Stanley Editor In Chief Naomi Judd! Need I say more? What an honor it is to be the editor of this magazine that is featuring such an iconic country superstar. Growing up in north Florida and having family in Alabama and Texas, I am very much a southern girl myself. I can remember as a child many different varieties of music echoing off of our walls, but the one sound that I always gravitated to was that of country music. My philosophy on country music is that no matter how much of it you listen to, it never gets old. The reason it never gets old is because in general, country music contains lyrics about realistic situations that all of us deal with in everyday life. By the same token, there is never any shortage of things to write about since “everyday” life is actually very interesting. There are stories told from the heart that touch the lives of those who listen, since we can all relate to these “typical” circumstances. And not only does country music tell stories that touch the heart, but often times it makes us laugh since so much of day-to-day life has a humorous side to it. The Foothills Times is honoring Naomi Judd this month in her amazing lifelong career as a multi-talented country music singer, song writer and activist. She is an inspiration to female country musicians and enthusiasts (like me) everywhere. The Foothills Times has really gone above and beyond in this edition to bring to its viewers something fresh and captivating. We hope that our fifth edition of 2014 brings an extra special smile to your faces to see a legend such as Naomi Judd on the cover, and to share in some of her exclusive Foothills Times commentary. As always, we say thank you to our loyal readers and enjoy! www.foothillstimes.com Angie Carpenter, Bill Heath, Brittany Burton, Brian Welsh, Bryn Hermansen, Glen Caulfield, Ray Tomlinson, Steve May 08 Bill Heath Bryn Hermansen Harvest Williams Walter D.
