“Dead fish float. Sam (Jim's Labrador) gets
them out! Every morning the two of us would
walk down to the ponds to check for dead fish,
‘cause sometimes fish die. This particular morning, Sam
went into the middle pond to retrieve a dead fish. On his way
back to shore, he was suddenly pulled completely under
water. Trying not to panic, Sam fought free and
immediately swam to shore. Although he survived, his
shoulder was injured and he had to go to the vet for
