eagle sports players playing in our teams. We are looking to work closer with local junior side, Eagle JFC, to ensure the flow of players through to open age football is regular. We have recently introduced an Under 21 side, which is aiming to introduce 16-21 year olds to the demand of playing against players of differing ages and abilities. They play in the North West U21 Development Football League and the league allows three overage players per team each week so again will allow young players to test themselves against established, experienced open age players.” Community “We consider ourselves to be a pillar within the local community, working with Junior clubs, local businesses and charities to provide opportunities for people to come and play or get involved with our club in any capacity that they can. Our clubhouse is thriving at present, holding various community functions and meetings and we hope that this will continue and grow in the coming years.” we currently use a council owned facility so making improvements and modifications all come at costs to both ourselves and the local authority, who with all of the cuts that are taking place, are working with a smaller budget each year.” Ambitions “On the field, we wish to push ourselves to try and win the Cheshire FL Premier Division, which is something that we have never quite achieved, despite being runners up on a couple of occasions. This, coupled with the flow of younger players through the junior ranks into our open age set up, will continue to grow our reputation within non-league football and ensure the club remains a prominent figure in Step 7 football in the North West for years to come. Off the field, we will be looking to keep the club stable with regards to finance and opportunities, whilst trying to enhance the brand awareness of our club and create a football facility that younger players aspire to play on when they reach the age range.” Challenges “Development of our facilities will be our single biggest challenge in the coming years as www.holdcroft.com Stephen Scott of Holdcroft Honda recently took the time to tell us more about their positive association with the club, saying, “My son is in his fourth season with the club having started in a new team. The side has started to gel together now which is great to see and at the awards night the coaches mentioned that they were struggling for sponsors so we agreed to support them this year. Nothing ever comes easily but I’d encourage everyone at the club to continue to push on and to keep up the good work that they’re doing.” Get ready to be amazed.
