Berkhamsted Raiders FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/FOOTYFOCUSMAG Berkhamsted Raiders Community FOOTBALL CLUB Berkhamsted Raiders CFC is a fantastic example of the important role that a club can play in their local community. Based at the Kitcheners Field, Castle Hill in Hertfordshire, they run more than seventy five teams ranging across a variety of different age groups. In total, they have close to 1000 playing members. One of the standout areas of the club is the superb youth section that 26 Issue 75 they have in place. This part of the club looks to provide young players from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential. It is important for any club looking to be successful over a sustained period of time to have a strong youth set up and this is an area they appear to have covered. It will certainly be exciting to see how their youngsters are able to progress over the coming years. The fine work that Berkhamsted Raiders CFC carries out has been recognised in recent times. In 2014, Berkhamsted Raiders CFC was awarded the FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year. The following year they were awarded the UEFA Grassroots Silver Award for their work across the local community. This was a fantastic achievement for all of the managers, coaching staff, committee members and volunteers at the club. A delegation from the club went to Wembley for the game against Estonia to collect the trophy.
