The latest edition of Football Focus Magazine brings you the story of East Kilbride Thistle who enjoyed promotion last season on the back of five years of progress. £6.95 Hassocks FC is a fine example of a club playing an important role in their local community by providing people with the chance to enjoy the game in a safe environment. Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Dave John to find out more about the good work the club has been doing. He told us, “I’ve been with the club for twenty six years now. To be honest with you I enjoy everything about the club because there are some great people here. In football it is the people that make the game; there are good times and bad times and it is a really nice group here that creates a community in itself.” “Our policy has always been that we don’t pay money so we have to produce our own talent. We have around twenty teams up to about sixteen and when they get to U18s they join the senior club and we work hard to bring them through. What happens is when we get talented players someone comes in and offers them money and they move on which can be difficult. “Our facilities are some of the best in the county because that is what we choose to invest in. When I first joined we were playing in the park but now we
