The Future
“ Our main target is promotion to the Northern League but there is a lot of hard work on and off the pitch for that to happen . We are in talks with the local council about plans to develop the ground which will benefit the whole community and help us become more self-sufficient .
It would also be nice to win something , whilst we were successful at local level since joining the Wearside League we have yet to win a trophy so it would be a great achievement to land our first major piece of silverware .”
Youth
“ Youth development is very important , this is something we have been looking to grow over the last couple of years but have always struggled for pitches . This year however we have managed to secure extra playing space that has helped us launch a brand new junior section which will be ran by Julie & Paul Hackwell and brings the teams playing under the clubs banner to seven .
This has been made possible by a fantastic sponsorship deal with Drive Vauxhall who have supplied kits for every single team for which we are very grateful to Joe Palmer at Drive for sorting . The teams range from U8 ’ s through to U23 ’ s and then the senior adult team .
