Christina Simons of Club sponsor Cottage Lodge recently took the time to tell us more about her association with the
club. Jokingly she told us, “My involvement is my niece Tilly’s fault – she had a little job at the club and they were really
lovely to her! When my daughter Katy reached 18 she also did a little job at the football club so it is a real family affair.
I’ve sponsored the club for three years now; we have a banner up at the club. It’s an extremely friendly club. Everyone
there does a great job and the club is a lovely resource for the village to have.”

social events including village activities.
“The ground is in excellent condition
with a capacity of over 1000 and the
clubhouse can support events for up to
150 people. A good run in the FA Cup or
FA Vase would go a long way towards

raising morale at the club, generate

“Going forward the club needs to
further integrate the Youth and Senior

being a club which is truly for all the
community and strengthen the financial
model to ensure it is sustainable.
“While it is unlikely the club could

will continue to work to improve on
our league position year-by-year and
look forward to seeing the good young
players of today become our stars of
tomorrow.”
