Gloucester City FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/FOOTYFOCUSMAG Gloucester City FOOTBALL Association CLUB It hasn’t been the easiest of times for Gloucester City, having to play outside of the city but with work now having started on the new stadium things are looking up. Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with their Press Officer Kelsey De Maria to find out more. Involvement He told us, “I’m twenty two now and I’ve been a fan all my life – my first game was when I was five or six weeks old! I’ve been involved with the club for about four years now having started by doing some filming on match days. I started officially as the club’s Press Officer in 2015. It’s an enjoyable role and I’m really glad I got into it. I initially took it up when I was doing my degree in journalism as a way to gain experience. It gives me the chance to visit new grounds, meet a lot of people and watch some football for free!” Present “The mood is a little mixed at the moment; with the move into the National League South I think everybody thought that it might be a bit easier but we haven’t been very consistent and are sitting in a mid-table position so will be keen to push on from here. I’d say this season, with the squad that we have we’re talented enough to reach the play-offs. We have players who are in a position to take the club forwards so it is just going to be a matter of getting them all to click. If we do I have no doubt that we can reach the play-offs.” 36 Issue 75
