First established in 1998 , Cleethorpes Town FC is based at the Bradley Community Stadium in North East Lincolnshire and their first team currently competes in the Northern Premier League Division One South . They are led by Chairman David Patterson who is supported by Secretary Andy Aisthorpe and the club has been progressing superbly under their guidance .
Their first team put together a terrific campaign this time around as they compiled a record of thirty five wins , three draws and four defeats from their forty two matches . This saw them finish top of the league with 108 points on the board .
This was a terrific achievement for the club and sees them claim promotion to the league above . The league title is a just reward for all of the hard work that has gone into making the club a success and they also made it to Wembley for the final of the FA Vase .
Having been promoted the club will now be working hard during the off-season to make sure that they are able to adapt well to their new surroundings . As long as they are able to retain their current group of players and can perhaps make one or two quality additions they should be in with a good chance of doing well again .
One of the highlights of the team ’ s performances this season was the attacking brand of football that they were able to produce . This was reflected by the fact that they found the back of the net 144 times at a rate of more than three per game .
This will certainly have meant that any supporters attending their matches will have been well entertained and should encourage more of the local community to get behind the side in the future . This in turn has the potential to provide them with a valuable source of additional income which is particularly important in the current financial climate .
Cleethorpes Town is not a club to focus solely upon their senior section however and this is reflected by the fact that they also run a number of youth sides . These teams look to provide young players from the local area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to reach their full potential .
It is important for any club looking to be successful over a sustained period of time to be able to produce their own talent
and this is an area that they appear to have covered .
Coaching staff involved with this part of the club are confident they ’ ve a number of players on their books with the potential for a bright future .
There is clearly much to admire about the fine set up that Cleethorpes Town currently has in place and this is shown in the fantastic results that they have been achieving on the pitch . Hopefully they will be able to continue in the same manner for many years to come and everyone at Football Focus Magazine wishes them the best of luck .
