Youth
“Youth football is extremely important to Mildenhall Town FC
and we operate teams from eight to eighteen years old who all
have qualified coaches.
Our First Team Manager is totally behind our club’s youth
policy and indeed had great input into the structure that is now
in place and six players from our under 18 side made their debuts
with the first team last season. The ethos throughout the whole
football set up relates to the old saying, ‘If players are good enough
they are old enough’.”
Community
“The club has FA Community Charter Standard accreditation
which we are very proud of and we have a social membership of
over 400 people, who we draw our support from. In addition, we
have an associated team called Mildenhall United which is made
up of all local lads who play on our pitch and drink loads of beer
in our clubhouse after their games!”

We provide all the products and services you need to keep your
vehicle running smoothly, efficiently, economically and legally.

“When I speak with other club chairman, one of the biggest
challenges faced by all clubs at non-league level is to attract
new younger volunteers to their clubs. Life style has changed
dramatically over the last few years and people’s time is committed
to so many more things now and I feel that the whole non-league
game would benefit from a national campaign to attract more
volunteers.
The other challenge that the non-league game faces as a whole
is the lack of money; when you see the multi millions of pounds
that is circulating around the professional game, surely the FA
could ensure that more of that is put into the grass roots level of
football in England?”
Ambitions
“Our first ambition is to improve our youth section development
so that more young players can progress to our first team, this will
benefit the club as a whole with more local supporters attracted
to games and home grown players being less costly than players
travelling from further afield.
Secondly, we aim to retain our newly acquired non-league step
4 status and improve on that if possible. However, I feel the next
step up to level 3 is a tough ask for a club of our size, but if you
try hard enough you are sometimes surprised at what you can
achieve!”
