Unit 20 Riverside Industrial Estate , Bells Marsh Road , Gorleston , Great Yarmouth , Norfolk , NR31 6PU the most challenging aspect of my role is to take a professional approach in everything the Football Club does and with that aim to restructure the Committee , to appoint roles and responsibilities to individuals , to set up working groups each with an assigned task , to formulate a financial plan , to seek sponsorship and to set up a fundraising programme , to improve and restructure the Junior and Youth teams section forming closer links and to take positive steps to promote and improve the image of the Football Club within the local community .
The most rewarding aspects of my role as Chairman is that we appointed seven new committee officers and are now making good progress in all the highlighted areas as we have a Committee with individuals and working groups willing to work for the Football Club and make things happen . There is still a lot to achieve and it is a long and difficult road ahead but with patience I am confident that we now have the right people in place to make the necessary changes to achieve the aims and objectives of the Football Club .
FF : How ’ s the general mood down at the club at the moment ?
KC : There is now an air of optimism and a positive mood at the Football Club as we are fast becoming a proper Football Family like a phoenix rising from the flames as in the past the Football Club has been guilty of some poor appointments and poor decision making from certain individuals that have left the Football Club in a precarious position and struggling to survive .
However the future is looking bright , although it is early days , as the new Committee is working very hard to ensure the future of the Football Club is secure despite playing on a pitch owned by the Great Yarmouth Borough Council .
Club members and supporters can now see the changes happening and like what they are seeing and the Committee
The East Anglia Anchorage Trust was founded and developed as a direct response to need , and young people wanting and seeking a different approach . The trust identified that young people needed a fresh , forward thinking , affordable and sustainable approach to housing and support needs . It was developed with young people and the community very much at the heart of everything we do .
