“ We ’ re looking towards the future and youth football is very important to us . We currently have four boys youth teams and eight girls / ladies teams . We are in the process of setting up a scholarship programme and development centres .
“ To help our players make the sometimes difficult transition into the senior game we have a reserve team in the local county league and we dual register the best youngsters with clubs at levels between that and our first team to continue their development .
“ Over the coming years our ambitions are to set up an academy , strengthen our ties with the local community , produce young players and for the first team to get in to the National League , hopefully with some of our homebred players . We would hope also to help those young players who don ’ t make the grade to get the best possible start to life after school .”
The club will now be working hard during the off-season in order to make sure that they have a more successful campaign next time around . It will certainly be exciting to see how they get along and everyone at Football Focus Magazine would like to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck for the future .
