“ The First Team have had a successful season this year and are due to finish in the top five of the Hellenic Division One West . This was on the back of a long unbeaten run which was a great effort by all the players and management . Our reserve team have enjoyed their introduction to Hellenic League football and our Under 18 ’ s have had a fantastic year pushing for top spot in the OIYL . Overall , we are really pleased with the season and look to continue this progress into next season .
With only a few league games left in the season , we are looking to ensure there is some stability between all of the teams at the club . The introduction of the reserves team to sit alongside the Men ’ s team is key to the transition for players throughout the club . We will review the last year as a club and look to ensure that best practices continue . Our aim is to provide our players with the opportunity to play at the highest level possible .”
Youth
“ Youth football is key to our club and the growth over the last few years has been staggering . This season we had twelve affiliated youth teams , likely to increase again to eighteen teams next season . As part of this we offer coaching each week to
almost 200 hundred players aged from under 6 to under 18 . We have a successful coaching mentor policy and all of the coaches seek to develop players / teams rather than focus on individual game results . This year we have also seen the introduction of our Under 9 girls ’ team . This has been as a result of a close partnership with Oxford
United FC and Oxfordshire FA . We are the only club to offer a girls only team in Cherwell District and we are hoping to expand on this next year as they are introduced into the Oxford Mail Girls League . We are also looking to create Futsal opportunities in the local area and are working hard with Cherwell District Council and the FA . At present there is no provision for this in Banbury and we see this as a great way to develop our players and local football as a whole .”

Integration
“ It ’ s important that players have a pathway from youth football into senior football . In order to achieve this , and to bridge the gap , we look to ensure that all of the teams play in the appropriate league . We have seen players from our Under 16 / 18 and reserves all feature in the first team over the last couple of seasons , showing that this pathway is available .
The managers and coaches all regularly review the players , regardless of age , and look to ensure that youth is given an
